Application Information

GRANT LIMITATIONS AND GUIDELINES
The Anna Paulina Foundation only makes grants to 501(c)(3) public charities. The Foundation does not award grants to individuals.  Grant awards may support an organization’s operations, programs, and/or capital projects.

GRANT SIZE

In 2024, the Foundation expects to award roughly ten grants in the range of $75,000 to $125,000. Larger grants may be made in special circumstances.

HOW TO APPLY

To apply for a grant, please submit a written application with the following information. You may use the Council of Michigan’s Common Grant Application if you wish.

Organizational Information

  • Name, address and telephone number for the applicant organization
  • Name, email, and telephone number of the main contact for the proposal
  • Mission and brief background of the applicant organization

Project Description

(The following information about the proposed project can be provided in a written narrative rather than a Q and A format.)

  • Definition of the issue the proposal is addressing
  • Description of the need for the proposed project
  • Basic objectives of the proposed project and its potential impact
  • Description of persons or groups who will benefit
  • Description of the expected outcome and impact of the proposed project
  • A work-plan and time frame for accomplishing the project’s objectives
  • Evaluation plan including criteria for judging the effectiveness of the proposed activity
  • Relevant qualifications and experience of the organization and the principal staff

Financial Information

  • Dollar amount of grant support requested and the ideal timing of the payment of the funds, if awarded
  • Detailed budget for the proposed grant and any additional support anticipated from other funders

Additional Supporting Material

  • Cover letter signed by the executive director or president of the applicant organization
  • Copy of Internal Revenue Service 501(c)(3) federal tax-exemption letter
  • List of current board of directors, trustees, or governing board, with individuals’ affiliation
  • Resumes of principal staff, if applicable
  • Copy of most recent certified financial audit
  • Copy of most recent annual report

DEADLINES

In 2024, applications are due on September 1, 2024. The Foundation expects to announce grant awards in December.
