Preparing for 2027

While applications are closed, this is a good time to gather your materials. Our requirements don't typically change much from year to year, so anything you assemble now will likely still apply.

We make grants only to 501(c)(3) public charities, and we do not award grants to individuals. Grants support a specific program or capital project rather than general operations. Awards typically range from $100,000 to $300,000.

It's also worth reviewing our areas of interest to see where your work fits:

What you'll need to submit
  • Organization name, address, phone, mission, and current operating budget
  • Name, email, and phone for your main contact
  • Project name, type, funding area, and amount requested
  • Definition of the issue your proposal addresses
  • Description of the need and your objectives
  • Expected outcomes and who will benefit
  • Evaluation plan and criteria for judging effectiveness
  • Project budget and anticipated support from other funders
  • Project work plan
  • IRS 501(c)(3) determination letter
  • Most recent certified financial audit or Form 990
  • Cover letter and most recent annual report, if available
